It is very convenient to be able to throw a burger on the grill rather than having to do light construction before cooking. Then again, when a gourmet burger is done right, it is hard to beat a custom burger, fused with seasoning.
Burgers were a mainstay in our house growing up and 95% of the time we used patties. Mom saved the gourmet burgers for special occasions; infusing them with seasoning, bread crumbs, and sometimes even mushrooms. Deliciousness!
